The Olympus DR-2000 Digital Dictation Handheld Microphone has professional features with a simple portable design. Slide switch operation, convenient button placement, and an ergonomic design, allows this recorder to be used comfortably for hours.  In addition to these features, it also has a durable design that makes this recorder last for years to come.

  • New and improved microphone system reduces extraneous sounds such as wind or machine noise created while recording, thus enabling a higher quality of sound recording.
  • Professional Grade USB Cable is 10x more durable (more than 20,000 operations in an Olympus durability test) than a regular USB cable.
  • DR-2000 has 3 programmable (A, B, C) buttons that can be easily customized to suit a particular preference or recording environment.
  • Can be used as a USB microphone or USB speaker without installing a specialty driver. In addition, a powerful built-in speaker provides hi-fidelity acoustic playback.
  • Can be used as a remote control for the DSS Player Pro software for both direct recording and editing recorded files on a PC.
  • Can save a recording as a file on a PC in DSS (Digital Speech Standard) format.
  • Two recording modes, SP (Standard Playback) mode or LP (Long Playback) mode.
  • Microphone sensor quality can be altered to better suit recording conditions and environment.
  • A priority level can be set on each file recorded.
  • Take advantage of the ability to insert and overwrite on an existing recording file.
  • Up to 16 index marks can be set in a file.
  • System Sounds (beep) are available to alert you to button operations or warn you of errors. They can be turned on or off according to your preference.
  • Up to 10 users ID's and Work Types can be registered in DSS Player Pro.
  • Register an ID directly in the DR-2000 and have it become part of the created recording file’s naming convention for quick and easy retrieval.
  • New design and button location enables single-handed control without ever having to visually check the placement of function buttons.
  • DR-2000 use ø10mm, highly sensitive, built-in omni directional microphones. The microphone sensitivity can be easily adjusted with the DSS Player to suit the purpose of use.

  • In addition to the 3 programmable buttons, additional functionality can be supported by combining any button on the DR-2000 using the Shift or Ctrl keys on a PC keyboard. This function is supported by the included DSS Player Pro software.
